Dr. Jesse V. McClain IV DNP, APRN, FWS
Jesse completed his Doctorate in 2017 after 11 years of neurology practice. His doctoral focus was in neuroscience and healthcare law / politics. His dissertation focused on developing a post-acute care stroke clinic for survivors of stroke and their families.
Jesse’s hobby has always been studying wine and crafting exceptional wines of all varietals.
In 2009 Jesse turned that hobby into a profession by becoming certified by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and in 2021 he completed his coursework and passed the certification examination which granted him the title of French Wine Scholar (FWS).
The Vineyard’s has now received 3 International Award; two for their Sauvignon Blanc and one for their Malbec.
Jesse’s book, The Wine Doctor was awarded with the 2023 Nonfiction-Education Book of the Year.
Fum Noel
2023 was the first year my oldest daughter helped make the wine and she loved every minute of it. She helped blend, de-gas, rack (or transfer) and even bottle. So after all of that hard work, of course I would let her design the label.
Well, at the time, she was just 5 years-old and learning to read and write. So, when she meant to write that the wine was “From Noel” she instead wrote “Fum Noel.”
I literally took her handwriting and had labels made for this year’s vintage and now we have “Fum Noel” which is a Bordeaux blend with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec.
